  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a loaf pan.

Mix mashed bananas with melted butter. Stir in baking soda and salt.

Add sugar, egg, and vanilla. Mix in flour and walnuts if using.

Pour batter into pan and bake for 60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
