Ingredients

  • 1 (8-ounce) wheel of Brie cheese
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • [Optional] 1/4 cup fruit preserves (like apricot or cranberry) for filling

Preparation

1
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to a 12-inch square.
3
Place the Brie in the center of the pastry. If using, spread preserves on top of the Brie.
4
Fold the pastry over the Brie, trimming excess and sealing the edges.
5
Brush the top with beaten egg
6
Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
